Happy Homebuyers

I knew this was the house I wanted the minute I walked into it. But I’m the type of person who will swoon over built-in bookcases and not notice that the furnace is falling apart. So I needed to have a more rational pair of eyes with me. Serena gave me the advice I needed to make a solid, sane decision and not just an emotional one.
Serena is savvy and she knows how to finesse things. She charmed the sellers into accepting my offer even though another buyer had been courting them for months and was willing to pay a lot more. I chalk it up to her interpersonal skills—and that British accent!

Serena was instrumental in getting us our new house by acting fast. We saw it the instant it hit the market. I wasn’t sure about it at first, and Serena said, “have your hesitations, but get the ball rolling anyway,” and we did. By the next time we looked at the house, there were agents swarming all around, but it was already ours.
The two of us have different styles. Serena understood where we were both coming from and what each of us needed to hear along the way. She put us at ease and made the whole process seem not at all threatening. Working with Serena, it was as if the three of us were buying the house. We hope we won’t be selling again for a long time, but if we do we know we will be in good hands with Serena.

On my daughter’s recommendation, I contacted Serena when I wanted to move from Port Townsend to Seattle. I found her to be reliable, experienced, and easy to be with. And, she’s very efficient. We were usually the first people to look at a place—and that counts!
I wanted to be in the north end and that isn’t her specialty, but Serena found me exactly what I wanted. She worked out the plan for my bid and I did everything she recommended. On the day of reckoning we learned that there were 16 bids on the house… and I won!
I think the world of Serena and I would recommend her to my very best friend. (And I love that car of hers!)
